Any reliable seed house can be depended upon for good seeds, but even so, there is a great risk in seeds. A seed may to all appearances be all right and yet not have within it vitality enough, or power, to produce a hardy plant.

Making Good Garden

The first thing in the garden to make the choice of a place. Without a choice, it means just do the best you can with the conditions. With space limited it resolves itself into no garden, or a box garden. Surely a box garden is better than nothing.

Landscape Gardening

Landscape gardening has often been likened to painting a picture. Your art-work teacher has doubtless told you a good idea to have a point of chief importance, and the rest of the points simply go to more beautiful the central idea, or a beautiful setting for. So in landscape gardening there must be the gardener of the mind a picture of what they want the whole to be when he completes his work.

Fighting Plant Enemies On Garden

From the first the most useful is the covered frame. It mostly consists of a wooden box, some eighteen inches to two square meters and about eight high, covered with glass, protecting cloth, mosquito netting or mosquito wire. The first two coverings have, of course, the additional advantage of maintaining protection against heat and cold, making it possible by their use to plant earlier than would otherwise secure. They are used to obtain an additional quick and safe start with cucumbers, melons and other vine varieties vegetables.
